Bird Project Soap

Goods That Matter

Created by a third generation New Orleans soapmaker, this clever soap is two gifts in one. Wash your hands with the lightly scented cypress soap made from glycerin, fair trade olive oil, aloe, and activated black charcoal, and you will slowly reveal a handmade ceramic bird figurine. A keepsake to enjoy long after the soap is gone, the white birds are a symbol of restoration and recovery. And its purchase does just that for animals affected by oil spills. Soap contains no shea butter or animal products and is non-drying. Makes a perfect host or housewarming gift!

Goods that Matter donates 10% of proceeds from the sale of their BirdProject Soaps to support environmental cleanup and care for affected animals of the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Disaster through the company’s nonprofit partners: Gulf Restoration Network and the International Bird Rescue. The company has donated almost $28,000 to date.
